Will you donate "A Day for Danger"?

Lesly Danger is a 25 year old Haitian. He was attending college when the earthquake occurred. His school was destroyed and ten members of the teaching faculty were killed in the earthquake.

I (Brooke Frost) met Lesly when I traveled to Haiti in March 2010 with Healing Hands for Haiti, a rehabilitation organization that has been in the country for 12 years. Lesly works as an interpreter for Healing Hands for Haiti.

After returning home from Haiti, how to help Haiti weighed heavy on my mind and as a result, my husband and I have offered Lesly a place to live, food to eat and a family to love him while he attends college in America.

However, help is needed to raise money for his tuition, which calculates to $25 per day.

76!

The Healing Hands for Haiti Utah County Team 2010 had a team reunion yesterday.  It was held at the home of one of our team members, Jim Kelson, in beautiful Midway, Utah.

Jim and Valerie's home is beautiful and there is one unique room in it, where Jim showcases the animals he hunts.  However, he says he is not a "hunter" but a "provider" as he pays to go hunt in exotic places and the local people get to keep the meat from the animals that he shoots.  No matter how you feel about it, it is an amazing room and we were much in awe!

The atmosphere at their home is very peaceful and we enjoyed good food and good company.  Plans for next year were discussed as well as upcoming plans of some of the team members.  Lesly's education was discussed and many donations were made.

Thank you's are in order for Joyce and Crawford Cragun, Alisa Jo Edmunds, Jim and Valerie Kelson and Kathi and Bryce Anderson.  Through those donations, 17 days were donated to Lesly, which brings us to a toal of 76 days!
